Jock Main moved to Albert Park in 1983, when he was “about 20”. He used to cook for a living but started mucking about with an ice-cream maker after he was injured in a motorbike accident.
He opened Jock’s Ice Cream & Sorbets 15 years ago and now goes through about 500 litres of milk a week making ice-cream and sorbet for Albert Park and beyond.
“I like the village atmosphere,” he says.
And what’s the weirdest flavour he’s ever made? “Garlic. It wasn’t very good!”
